The Grand Palace of Everyone

Dragon & the Magic Mountain is collaborative installation showing my collaboration with Iris Luijkenaar,  and Tommy Smits and Laurens Gabriël’s, shown in Nest, The Hague during the exhibition The Grand Palace of Everyone with No Limits! Art Castle

Iris and I started our collaboration based on our common interests in spirituality and magic. She told me about dragonology and the idea that every person has their own dragon, like a zodiac sign or a personal guide. While I made ceramic heads to act as pedestals for the dragon, Iris made a ceramic portrait of her own dragon. It holds a magical wand and explains a little dragon coming out of its egg how to train their human, which sits on the dragons shoulder.
