The Universal Animal

The center of the installation 'The Universal Animal' is a wishing well,
filled with ceramic and bronze coins, flowers, lily pads and hands.
The work explores ways in which objects can hold meaning, time, energy and possibly a magical function within them. The Universal Animal is the result of an ongoing research on making and looking at art through the concept of Ritual.

The paintings have been painted and the ceramics
baked, glazed, out of the oven,
Created by hand for a specific purpose
(e.g. to embody beliefs, for the next meal and/or ways of questioning, making sense)
The objects are marked by time.
Possibly they will become part of someone like they are now,
for a moment, part of the house.
